This place has almost no outside aid. Our visiting here touched their heart. One woman said, “I am sorry for debris that cause trouble for American people”. We gave hat for the elderly and stuffed animal for the little one. ここは昔は船しか交通手段がない場所。人々は独立的である事を誇りに思っています。その分よそ者を迎える事に抵抗感があるようです。 私達は祈りました。すると快く迎え入れて下さいました。 オレゴンの皆さんの手づくりの帽子やマフラーをとても喜んで下さいました。震災後に産まれたという赤ちゃんは、ぬいぐるみを握って離しませんでした…皆さんの贈り物が癒やしのためび用いられています。ありがとうございます。

Before and After 再訪問
In 2011, this field was was full of oil, garbage, dirt and water. After Hope Japan and the other relief aide, it is now a harvestable field. 震災で油とヘドロ、ゴミでまみれれていた土地を再び訪れました。Hope Japanをはじめ各団体の働きにより、作物が実る地になりました。

Song of welcome 歓迎の歌
We set our first base camp in a church in Tajiri. At a Sunday service, the oldest member welcomed us by singing a song. 宮城のベースキャンプとして田尻教会に宿泊させていただきました。日曜日、元議員で教会のメンバーでもある方が私たちに歌を披露して下さいました。初対面の私たちを温かく迎えて下さった、皆さんのおもてなしの心に大変感激しました。
ここにも被害者
遅くに仙台に到着した。GPSにも出てこない、地元の人しか分からないと思われる暗い道を、９０分走って迎えに来られた教会の方。田尻教会の皆様の親切なおもてなしに感謝しています。 聞けばその方は、南三陸町で学校の先生をしていた方だった。教会のある場所は直接津波の被害はなかったが、皆、痛みを背負って生きている、そう思いました。
