Before and After

We re-visited the building that we visited 2011 Hope Japan #1. Now, this area is mostly cleared, but this building is still here. It is like a memorial: Buses are stopped. People are bringing flowers.

2011, from this building, a young woman broadcast the warning, “Tsunami is coming. Please go up to the higher ground!”. Her body was found later at a beach far away.

２年ぶりに来ました。多くの方の努力により、当時の瓦礫を見ることはほとんどありません。  この建物はメモリアルのように残されていました。ひっきりなしにバスが訪れ、献花がされています。

震災時、ここから災害放送で「津波が来ます。高いところに逃げて下さい」と言い続けた女性。結婚を半年後に控えていた彼女は後に遺体で発見されたそうです。
